During World War II, when she was a child, she was held as a prisoner in a fascist concentration camp. “As a former prisoner she is also considered a veteran of World War II and is a member of the Association of Veterans,” explains Your Shot photographer Darya Ryan. One of the medals was awarded by the governor of the Magadan region in honor of the 70th anniversary of the end of the war.
